ANAMANAGUCHI is a dynamic and innovative group of composers & performers renowned for their unique fusion of digital & instrumental elements. They are Peter Berkman (Dallas, TX), Ary Warnaar (New York, NY), Luke Silas (Los Angeles, CA) and James DeVito (Providence, RI). Originally formed in 2006, they are multi-instrumentalists classically trained in music composition, with a distinct mastery over computer music production for video game console sound chips and VOCALOID singing synthesis. In 2023 they scored the award-winning Netflix series Scott Pilgrim Takes Off in collaboration with veteran composer Joe Trapanese (Tron: Legacy, No One Will Save You). The soundtrack’s vinyl release with Lakeshore Records became an Amazon top-seller. Their latest album [USA] (2019) was released on the distinguished American independent Polyvinyl Records imprint and received critical praise for its emotionally-charged storytelling acheived through captivating sonic landscapes.

Never married to one style, Anamanaguchi excels in seamlessly blending genres and moods. Their eclectic scoring inspirations include the likes of Goblin and Joe Hisaishi alongside their deep love for all reaches of video game music (Koji Kondo, Nobuo Uematsu). Anamanaguchi’s ground-breaking and influential 2010 score for Ubisoft’s Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game resulted in a Billboard-charting soundtrack released by ABKCO Records. Their original composition work has been featured in TV (CBS Saturday Morning), film (21 Jump Street), video games (Rocket League, Little Big Planet), and various brand partnerships (Discord, TELFAR, Taco Bell, Target).

As live performers, Anamanaguchi has toured across North America, Europe and Asia, including festivals Lollapalooza, ULTRA Music Festival, Osheaga, and Miku Expo 2016 where they debuted their smash pop hit collaboration with Japanese virtual pop-star Hatsune Miku titled “Miku”. Their live shows include visual set production from band member DeVito (founder of Smooth Technology, known for their work with Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga).
