With a musical background influenced equally by John Williams and Trent Reznor, as well as membership in two punk rock marching bands (Chicago’s “Mucca Pazza” and LA’s “Killsonic”), Greg’s always had a passion for using music to support story in unexpected ways. His scores have screened at Sundance, Toronto, Cannes, Berlin, Showtime, Disney, and HBO. Today, Greg gets to explore his childhood love of orchestral music as a composer at Disney Animation while continuing to push music boundaries with independent directors like Rachel Goldberg (Mayans, American Gods)  and Tom Stern (The Toys That Made Us).

In Sterns’s “Adams,” found-percussion and free-jazz collide with traditional orchestration to support Patton Oswalt's descent into madness. For Rachel Goldberg’s “Neighbors,” Greg uses violin plucks, guitar and synthesizers to get inside the head of lead actress Kelli Garner as her character vacillates between anxiety and wonder. His score for the sci-fi short, “Re / Collection,” directed by Eva Konstanopolous, uses dialogue from the actors themselves (slowed by 500%) as part of its musical palette. Greg's concert work “Forbidden To Face the Natural Light” combines symphonic brass, percussion and audio from This American Life to tell the story of Guantanamo detainees who still, to this day, remain out of reach of the US legal system.

Greg's television work includes the Disney animated series - T.O.T.S, Puppy Dog Pals, and Goldie and Bear - as well as additional music for Smallville, The Vampire Diaries, and Video Game High School. His video game work includes Voracious Games’ “Potionomics,” additional music for Kinect Disney Adventures, and orchestrations for Star Wars: First Assault. Before scoring films full time, Greg had a successful career scoring commercials, working with brands such as Microsoft, Old Navy, and Best Buy.

Originally from New England, Greg's musical education included an apprenticeship with composer  Brian Keane (The Chieftains). While living in New York, Greg worked as assistant producer at Motherwest Studios with indie bands such as The Magnetic Fields. He’s one of the last students of Disney legend Buddy Baker (The Fox And The Hound) and holds a Bachelor of Music in Composition and Music Production from the University Of Michigan.
